Synopsis: This is a cautionary tale. A seriously disturbed couple find the charming, old ruin of a Queen Anne Victorian in Russellville, Arkansas, and buy it for $1.00. They tore the roof off, cut it in half, and had it moved to some land they owned sixteen miles away because they didn't know any better. Since then, they have hired and fired contractors, had all of their tools stolen, re-wired, re-plumbed, insulated, and essentially rebuilt the entire house. Their only problem is that after four years it still isn't finished. Now they are tired, broke, and wonder what in the hell it is they've done to themselves. And, it's haunted.

I Am Not Dead


Hello all.

I just checked the comments section and thought that I'd let you know that I am not dead. Nothing horrible has happened to me. I have not been attacked by wild dogs. I have not been turned into a zombie. I did not drive my car down a remote ravine and have survive off a diet of urine and beetles until I was discovered hypothermic and insane a week later.

The front door has been taken care of since the last post. Otherwise, nothing has been done on the Devil Queen. I've been busy with a number of non-house projects and obligations, and to be honest, I really haven't been feeling any home improvement mojo.

I will give you all a more detailed post soon and respond to the slew of comments I've received on the last post. Cheers.
