The Devil Queen
How my wife and I sold our souls to the Queen Anne Victorian we tried to save.
Synopsis: This is a cautionary tale. A seriously disturbed couple find the charming, old ruin of a Queen Anne Victorian in Russellville, Arkansas, and buy it for $1.00. They tore the roof off, cut it in half, and had it moved to some land they owned sixteen miles away because they didn't know any better. Since then, they have hired and fired contractors, had all of their tools stolen, re-wired, re-plumbed, insulated, and essentially rebuilt the entire house. Their only problem is that after four years it still isn't finished. Now they are tired, broke, and wonder what in the hell it is they've done to themselves. And, it's haunted.

Should you have them sign a waiver in case any of your ghosts frightened them badly and they hurt themselves?
Is it someone you know? Otherwise, I'd worry about my stuff.
I voted no. Like Green Fairy, I would worry about my stuff. And, because a house is a very personal possession, not to be shared with just anyone.
Well....I'm with Green Fairy. Do you know these people? Are you sure they're not associates of the bastids that kicked in your door? If it was someone I knew, I'd let them but I'd make them sign a waiver, just in case they fell down the stairs in fright or something.
Everyone, very good points. They are friends of a friend, so they ought to be okay. As for our stuff, there isn't too much left at this point. Seriously. As for our personal space, a very good point.
I'm still not sure which way to go. I guess we'll see.
Thanks to everyone who took the poll as well!
