Synopsis: This is a cautionary tale. A seriously disturbed couple find the charming, old ruin of a Queen Anne Victorian in Russellville, Arkansas, and buy it for $1.00. They tore the roof off, cut it in half, and had it moved to some land they owned sixteen miles away because they didn't know any better. Since then, they have hired and fired contractors, had all of their tools stolen, re-wired, re-plumbed, insulated, and essentially rebuilt the entire house. Their only problem is that after four years it still isn't finished. Now they are tired, broke, and wonder what in the hell it is they've done to themselves. And, it's haunted.

Breeze In My Bedroom
Here is the corner in question from the previous post. You can't tell in the picture, but the spider webs were flapping.

I saw something about soy foam insulation in a blog. I tried to post a comment earlier and included a copied link in my comments and it never posted, so I am trying this again. I couldn't remember where I read the write-up, but have since found which one it was in.
The soy based foam insulation was posted in the Humphrey House blog in December 2007.
It would be worth the read.
Man, I'm getting old! I left the comment (referred to in this one) on the previous post by you. DUH!
I found The Devil Queen about a week ago and have just finished reading all the archives. I'm in escrow on my very first house and have been perusing the Houseblogs for the past few weeks. I was on pins and needles worrying about how the appraisal would go and whether you'd already sold the Queen while I was reading through the posts. :)
Ha! That's what the corners of our bathroom look like. One day we're going to put up trim in those corners. Ha.
